Shipping Information

At Leaf’d Garden Inc., DBA Live Seedlings, Live Seedlings Co. (“Live Seedlings”), we work hard to develop the absolute best plant for your garden. There are tons of details that go into getting you your seedlings-- from the types of plants to be planted, the time of year, how long it will take to get to you, and a host of other data points to help your garden be successful. 

We select a shipping method (typically express or priority) to ensure that your plants can deliver within two to three days, no matter where you are in the United States. While shipping carriers do sometimes encounter delays, we work to ensure that we only ship with the best carriers who have the most on time delivery's possible. In case of a carrier delay, please feel free to let us know, and we'll do all we can to make it right!

We typically ship with UPS, Fedex and GSO. We occasionally use USPS. The use of PO Boxes is highly discouraged. 

We typically ship Monday - Wednesday to ensure that shipments don't get delayed in transit over the weekend. We aim to ship all orders within two weeks, though many leave the same week. 

 

Subscription Overview:

Once you order or subscribe, we'll get your plantlings growing right away to ensure they'll deliver at the perfect time at the start of the upcoming season. 

Generally, shipping will occur according to four seasons each year: the Early Spring, Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. The actual ship date will vary based on your location and time ordered. We strive to ship all orders as soon as possible upon order confirmation. You will be notified via email when your order is ready to ship or shipping.

New subscriptions placed at the end of the current season and near the beginning of the next may have their orders delayed until the start of the next season (within 2-4 weeks). This helps ensure that you don't receive two seasons' worth of plantlings within a few weeks of each other.  

Receiving Your Box:

Once you receive your box, it is very important that you open it right away. Hardening your plants if it's hot, or planting the evening that you receive your plantlings once the temperature has started to cool off is great! If not, the next morning works well too. 

Remember-- you just received a box full of plant babies. Just like you wouldn't leave your cat or dog in their carrier very long, you shouldn't leave your plant babies in their box very long after delivery either. The faster you can get them planted and watered, the better!
